Travis Beard is a multi-directional artist who's projects traverse music, film, photography and festivals. Travis’ debut feature documentary, ROCKABUL, focused on the music scene in Afghanistan told through the perspective of the Afghan band, District Unknown, and had its World Premiere at the prestigious Rotterdam International Film Festival 2018. It has since screened at 56 festivals around the world and won multiple awards.

Travis is currently co-producing a film about South Korean metal called K-Pop Killers with Ian Norse. And a short film about North Korea shot in 2019. Travis has contributed footage from his extensive Afghan archive to the films: Jirga 2018, Motley’s Law 2016, Frame by Frame 2015 and Soft Skin 2021. Travis also shot for the film Afghan Cycles 2017 about the Afghan Female Olympic cycling team.

Catherine is a writer and news producer currently based in Sydney. She first visited Afghanistan in 2010 to shift from business and finance reporting to becoming a foreign correspondent. She made the move to Kabul in 2011, working with local media and as a freelance reporter for seven years.

Navid has significant connections in the middle east and has a strong personal interest in the state of the region.
